More Zombies!

This is a design I did for a friend of mine's nephew.  She wanted to make a shirt for him, and since he loves zombies, she asked me to do this.  Her nephew loves zombies so much to where he frequently asks for "More zombies!"  Hence why the design has the text. 
All in all, I'm pretty happy with it.  it took me about three passes to make it work.  In fact I even posted the preliminary sketch below.  Yes, you saw it, I swapped it.  mainly to draw it right.  i.e.  put the finish lines on top of the mirrored image in order to insure I was drawing it right. Haha.  Well I hope you all enjoy it.  Especially to whom it is for.
I had a lot of fun drawing it, although it took me a while to find a good altogether design, nevertheless, it was a fun experience.

Memory Sketch!

So just yesterday while I was on a date, we were headed to the Cold Stone in the Burbank Town Center and there was this guy, just singing away, bobbing his head up and down, and just performing with his microphone.  The girl I was with and I just got the biggest kick out of it.  He was just in to it!  Haha.
Later as we were leaving, he had switched spots (by like 20 feet, and then to our surprise now he was not only still singing at the top of his lungs, but straight up had a Guitar Hero guitar and was pretending to play it as he held the mike and sang!!  HAHAHAHA.  It was sooo funny.
It was hilarious.  So, needless to say it was an absolute must to memory sketch him.  I feel I caught the energy of him, although I don't think it exactly looks like him in the face.  but eh, that's why I'm doing these things to get better.  Hope you guys enjoy this story as much as I did to experience it.

Sketchbook Pages!

so, because I have no finished picture and I do not want to pay my friend a dollar I have decided to post some sketches from my sketchbook, it is sad to say that out of my whole sketchbook, i only like three pages thus far...  haha! well anyway here are some sketches.  you all should feel lucky.  to make up for not having a finished picture I am posting  count 'em THREE pics!  Most of them are cafe sketches, most however are me just trying to push myself beyond my comfort zone with poses and such. 
so needless to say, my sketchbook is a place of learning for me, so forgive me if the drawings are pretty bad. haha.

Here's Squirtle.  I'm trying to go in order, but I have this foresight that all the third evolutions, at least to start, are gonna give me problems to draw...  and i busted out a sweet sketch last night of Squirtle and thought I'd finish it up.

Here are He-man and Lion'o.  I'm working on two more from the 80's we'll see if they ever make it. haha.  hope you all enjoy.  and yes Justin.  the He-man is for you.  Happy Birthday bro!  (and yes.  Lion-o is on top for a reason.  I put them inbest from top to bottom. Hahahahaha.)

#001_Bulbasaur!

So,  before I do charizard, I decided to go back and fit in the three before, then i can continue sequentially.  So here is Bulbasaur.

In these pictures I am gonna try and 'customize' or make each pokemon unique.  i.e. the bandana on the previous two, and if you notice teh skull shape patch right above his forearm. haha :) Hope you all enjoy this one too!

Charmander and Charmeleon!

I've taken it upon myself to start drawing all 150 pokemon, although I didn't start with the first three, here are my first 2, Charmander and Charmeleon!  I've personalized them a little, the main reason is Charmeleon is one of my favorite pokemon.  I have my 'Elite 6"  and he is one of them, and since all my pokemon are named after my favorite cartoon characters and such, he is 'Ridley' after Samus' foe in the Metroid series.

  And since naturally my Charmeleon is one bad mojo, not only does his tail burn blue almost always, but has some sick battle scars and a sweet checkered bandana.  (The reason his tail burns blue is because of a pokedex entry that says when he basically feels the thrill and excitement of battle his tail burns blue.)

Future_Pig!

So, one fo my good friends little brothers likes to draw, and he draws a lot of really cool conceptual ideas.  Here is one he had, and since I LOVE to draw pigs.  I took this one and had fun with it and took a little artistic liberty.

The picture below is the original sketch.  I'm starting to draw a lot more on loose paper and trying to draw bigger. 
This one below is his original color scheme.  I changed it when i felt is didn't look as strong.

I also feel there are a couple weak points.  Where I struggle frequently.  on the farside of the character.  I really tried to fix it, but just goes to show I have a lot of room for improvement.

Zelda- Link In Action!

Just pulled this one out.  I really like it overall, but have noticed some things that don't make it bad, but could have made it stronger.  mainly I think the silhouette.  but other than that I feel like I pushed myself a little bit and hope that you all enjoy it.

SO, this is supposed to be pretty rough.  But, I will say, I don't really like it.  The only reason I'm posting it is because I owe Chris Jimenez http://chris-jimenez.blogspot.com/ a drawing a week.  haha.

I cleaned some stuff up, and then threw in some variations.  from top to bottom:

threw greyscale into the trees, and then the original just cleaned up.

Jason....Er, Captain America

  I've never felt good about posting pictures of people, but I figure as long as i'm improving, if it doesn't look like them now or if just doesn't look good in general, eventually it will.  Then, I'll draw another one if i feel i owe it to them.

  Yes, He is holding a spatula colored red, white, and blue.  Because in actuality This is not the Captain America we all know and love.  It is actually my brother.  For Christmas he got an awesome sweatshirt.  He was hilarious acting like Captain America.
   Since he's an all-star chef (he works at a five-star restaurant in Napa Valley, California as the head Pastry chef,) and he got that sweatshirt for Christmas, i decided to specialize the picture a little bit.
